Our stand
CALIFORNIA BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE — NOT THE POLITICAL ESTABLISHMENT
One party has run California for a generation, and the people inside it draw the maps, protect their allies and attack anyone who challenges the arrangement. Somewhere along the way the state stopped having to answer to the people who live in it.
WE ARE NOT AGAINST DEMOCRATS.
WE ARE AGAINST THE DEMOCRATIC ESTABLISHMENT.
Most Californians — however they registered — want the same handful of things. Leaders who will listen. Elections that are fair. Representatives chosen by voters, not politicians choosing their voters. Leaders who can disagree without turning every election into a personal war. And a government that actually works.
That is why we are building this coalition: for anyone who thinks California deserves better than a government that never has to ask.

NO MORE GERRYMANDERING
Voters should choose their representatives. Politicians should not choose their voters.
Political power should never be protected by drawing voters into convenient political districts. We support fair, competitive districts and an electoral system where every community has a meaningful voice.
That should not be a partisan idea.

NO MORE POLITICS AT ANY COST
Political decency isn’t weakness. It’s leadership.
Winning an election should never be more important than doing what is right. California needs political leaders who can disagree without demonizing one another, compete without destroying one another, and govern without treating half the state like the enemy.

NO MORE SACRAMENTO INSIDER POLITICS
Sacramento was built to serve Californians. Now it mostly serves itself.
Careers get protected. Problems don’t get solved. The people paying the bill are the last ones asked. That is why this coalition exists.
